Acceptable Use Policy
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Carrier Shark platform
(the “Platform”). This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Carrier Shark
Terms of Service.
The Platform is a neutral document facilitation and workflow automation tool.
It is not a freight broker, motor carrier, 4PL, or insurer.
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful business purposes consistent with
its intended function. Any misuse may result in suspension or termination.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Impersonate any carrier, broker, shipper, insurer, or third party.
- Misrepresent identity, authority, licensing status, or insurance coverage.
- Use the Platform to arrange transportation of property.
- Hold Carrier Shark out as a freight broker, intermediary, or agent.
- Upload malicious software, malware, or harmful code.
- Use the Platform in violation of applicable law or regulatory requirements.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
3. Document Integrity and Authenticity
The integrity of uploaded documents is critical to platform trust.
You may not upload, transmit, or submit:
- Forged or altered insurance certificates.
- Fabricated endorsements or coverage summaries.
- Falsified FMCSA-related documents.
- Unauthorized or fraudulently executed agreements.
- Documents you do not have authority to share.
Carrier Shark reserves the right to remove documents that reasonably appear fraudulent,
deceptive, or unauthorized.
4. Security, Scraping, and Automation Abuse
You may not:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from public carrier profile pages.
- Use automated bots to access or query the Platform without authorization.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code.
- Circumvent authentication mechanisms, including email-based verification codes.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without authorization.
Limited API or integration use is permitted only where expressly authorized by Carrier Shark.
5. Public Profile Data Usage
Public carrier profile pages may contain publicly available regulatory information.
You may not:
- Republish public profile data in a misleading or deceptive manner.
- Represent Carrier Shark data as certified, verified, or guaranteed.
- Use public profile data to harass, defame, or improperly target individuals or businesses.
6. Enforcement and Suspension
Carrier Shark reserves broad discretion to protect platform integrity.
If we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP, we may:
- Suspend or restrict account access;
- Remove or disable access to documents or workflows;
- Terminate your account;
- Preserve and disclose relevant information where legally required.
We are not required to provide advance notice where misuse creates risk
to the Platform, other users, or third parties.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance.
